Is It Time to Sign Up for Gymnastics? Some Waiting Lists Are (Surprisingly) Short!

ree

If you’ve been meaning to sign your child up for gymnastics but assumed the waiting lists would be longer than a half-term break… this might just be your lucky moment.

At Wickers Gymnastics Club, we’re quietly spreading the word that – whisper it – some of our school-aged sessions have short or even non-existent waiting lists right now, especially for children born in 2018 and 2019.

Yes, really. No cartwheels through red tape required.

What to Expect From Our Weekly Sessions

Our school-aged gymnastics classes are designed for children aged 4 and up, and run every weekday after school and on Saturdays. Each session is an hour long and led by our fabulous team of British Gymnastics qualified coaches, with extra support from our Leadership Academy members – think older role models who remember what it’s like to be a beginner.

Sessions are active, structured, and fun – with a warm-up to start, followed by two apparatus rotations. Children follow a three-week cycle to explore the floor, beam, vault, bars, and trampette, building strength, coordination, and confidence week by week.

You can check out the full schedule of available times here:👉 www.wickersgymnastics.co.uk/school-aged-children

But What About the Waiting List?

We get it – life’s busy, and no one wants to sign up for something only to be told there’s a six-month wait. So here’s the good news:

👉 For some days and times, there’s currently no waiting list at all

👉 Especially for children born in 2018 and 2019

👉 A few other groups are starting to fill, but spots still pop up more often than you'd think!

So if your child is showing signs of becoming a human bouncy ball (or just wants to learn some new skills and have fun doing it), now’s a great time to get in touch and check availability for your preferred time or day.

A Note About Membership

After your first week, all gymnasts will need to hold a British Gymnastics Community membership, which helps keep everyone safe, insured, and officially part of the national gymnastics community. We’ll walk you through it – it’s super simple.

Ready to Get Started?

You can enquire online and pop your child on the list for their ideal session — and if you’ve had your eye on a particular after-school or Saturday morning slot, don’t wait!

We’d love to welcome your young gymnast to the Wickers family soon. 🖤💜
