Gymnastics Awards Session at Wickers - A Chance to Earn Your Next Club Award 2026

If your child loves gymnastics, there’s something quite special about the moment when a skill finally clicks.
Maybe it’s a straighter cartwheel, a steadier beam walk, or that moment when they realise they can jump a little higher on the trampette than they thought.
At Wickers Gymnastics Club, those milestones are recognised through our Wickers Club Award Scheme, and in April we’re running a special Gymnastics Awards Session where gymnasts can work towards achieving their next award.
These sessions are open to both club members and non-club members aged 4+, so whether your child already trains with us or simply enjoys gymnastics, they’re welcome to take part.
What Is the Wickers Gymnastics Award Scheme?
The Wickers Club Award Scheme was created by our coaching team to reflect the skills and progress children make through our training programme.
The scheme includes 18 different award levels, allowing gymnasts to gradually build skills across the main pieces of apparatus such as floor, beam, bars, vault, and trampette.
Rather than being about competition, the awards focus on personal progress and confidence. Gymnasts work on developing skills step by step, and when they demonstrate the required elements, they can achieve their next award level.
For many children, it’s a lovely moment of recognition for all the practice and effort they’ve been putting in.
What Happens at an Awards Session?
During these sessions, gymnasts will have the opportunity to practise and demonstrate the skills required for their next award level.
Our coaching team will guide them through the activities, helping them show what they’ve learned and supporting them along the way.
It’s not about pressure or performance, it’s simply a chance for gymnasts to show their progress and work towards the next step in their gymnastics journey.
Some children may achieve a new award during the session, while others might discover what they’re close to achieving next.
Both outcomes are part of the learning process.

Children are welcome to attend one or both sessions.
Who Can Attend?
The session is open to:
Current Wickers gymnasts
Children who do not currently attend Wickers classes
So if your child enjoys gymnastics and would like to work towards achieving a Wickers Club Award, they are very welcome to join us.

Gymnastics is full of small wins, and sometimes the most exciting part is realising how much you’ve improved since you first started.
The Wickers Award Scheme is simply our way of recognising those moments.
And if your child happens to leave the gym that day a little taller, a little prouder, and already talking about their next goal… that’s exactly what we hope for.
